Artist Info

Olaf Heine is a photographer and director best-known for his meticulously composed work, whether he’s shooting contemporary artists, placing his subjects in theatrical tableaus evocative of classical Hollywood or is photographing the most important public and residential architecture of the 20th century — from Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye outside Paris to Oscar Niemeyer’s Niterói Contemporary Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro.

Olaf has shot on assignment for Adidas, Coca Cola, Details, Mercedes, Nike, Rolex, Rolling Stone, Stern Magazine and Vanity Fair; photographed musicians, writers, actors, and athletes, including Kurt Cobain, Iggy Pop, U2, Nick Cave, Cate Blanchett, Daniel Bruehl, Bret Easton Ellis, Julian Schnabel, Lewis Hamilton and Robert Lewandowski and directed award winning commercials, music videos and short films.

Olaf lives between Berlin and Los Angeles though he’s no less susceptible to the pull of the tropics, as his work in Brazil and Hawaii attests.
